$3 off admission to the Liberty Science Center with your Bayonne Public Library card!

Bayonne Public Library cardholders can now receive $3 off admission to the Liberty Science Center.

Just present your library card at the Liberty Science Center Box Office when you are visiting to receive the discount.

The discount is good only for the library patron who presents the card.

Bayonne Public Library patrons will also receive a 10% discount on the purchase of a Liberty Science Center membership of their choice.

New printing options at the Bayonne Public Library

The Bayonne Public Library has purchased a color laser printer for its Reference Room. The new printer will make high quality black & white and color prints available to all library patrons.

When printing from library computers, patrons will be able to choose either black and white or color for their printing jobs. Black and white prints remain at 15 cents each, color will be 20 cents each.

The library hopes to make color printing available in its Childrens’ and Art and Music Rooms soon.

Library Donations

The Bayonne Public Library is currently accepting donations of books, CD’s, VHS tapes and DVD’s. Donated items will be evaluated for possible addition to our collection. Donated items which are not suitable for our collection will be offered for sale in the library’s ongoing book sale, or in some cases, discarded.

Guidelines:
• All items must be in good, usable condition. We cannot accept items which are water or fire damaged are missing pages or have loose bindings. If your books have been stored anywhere with an infestation problem (i.e. mice, bedbugs, roaches, etc.), please do not bring them to the library.
• We welcome the donation of textbooks, but only if they have been copyrighted within the past three (3) years.
• We do not accept encyclopedia sets.
• We do not accept audiocassettes.

ATTENTION – NJ-1040 Tax Forms

The Bayonne Public Library would like to remind anyone who may have received an NJ-1040 form printed by the Library that they must consult the NJ-1040 instruction book when filling in all fields of the printed form. It has come to our attention that the NJ-1040 form printed from the internet contains some pre-filled fields which may be inappropriate for your particular tax situation.

Ancestry Library Edition is now available at Bayonne Public Library!

Bayonne Public Library is now subscribed to Ancestry Library Edition. Ancestry Library Edition, powered by Ancestry.com, delivers billions of records in census data, vital records, directories, photos, and more. Bayonne Public Library patrons now have access to an unprecedented amount of genealogical materials through the world’s most popular online genealogy resource.

The database is available on all computers used inside the library, but will not be available for remote access. Visit the library and check it out!

The Library will be closed Thursday, July 4th, 2013.

We will be open Friday, July 5th from 10-3.

As is usual for the summer, we will be closed Saturday.

Prerequisite: This class is designed for those who have little or no experience using a computer.

Registration is REQUIRED as space is very limited.
